A surprising wealth of fauna

The Cavallino-Treporti sea, which reaches a maximum depth of 400 metres, contains iodine-rich water with excellent therapeutic properties. Opposite the coast lies an area rich in rocky outcrops characterised by extremely significant seabed species as regards both the exceptional biodiversity and their fundamental contribution to the repopulation of the seabed by fish, “le tegnue” of the Gulf of Venice, a surprising wealth of rare fauna to be safeguarded.
